Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how the MoneBie app ("MoneBie", "the app", "we") handles your information. MoneBie helps you track accounts, transactions, budgets, debts and payment reminders.
We built MoneBie so that we never have your data to begin with. There is no MoneBie server and no MoneBie account. The app works fully offline, and your financial records never leave your phone unless you choose to export them.
What we collect
Nothing. We do not collect, receive, store, sell or share any personal or financial information. The app has no internet permission, so it can't send data to us or to anyone else.
We don't collect usage statistics, crash reports, device identifiers, advertising IDs, location, contacts or any other information.
Data stored on your device
To work, the app saves what you enter in a local database in its private storage on your phone. Other apps can't read that storage, and we can't either.

If you record debts with other people, their names and amounts are stored on your phone only. They are never sent anywhere.
App lock: PIN & fingerprint
- Your PIN is never stored. The app keeps only a salted SHA-256 hash of it, which is enough to check your PIN but can't be turned back into it.
- Fingerprint and face unlock are handled by Android. MoneBie uses the system's biometric prompt and only learns whether it succeeded. It never sees or stores your biometric data.
CSV import & export
You can import transactions from a CSV file and export your data as a CSV file. Both happen only when you ask:
- Import reads only the file you pick in the system file picker.
- Export creates a file and hands it to the share sheet or save location you choose.
An exported file contains your financial records in plain text. Once you share or save it outside the app, where it goes and who can see it is up to you and the service you send it to.
Backups
MoneBie opts out of Android's automatic cloud backup and device-to-device transfer, so your data is not copied to Google Drive or to a new phone.
Because nothing is backed up for you, uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes your records for good. Export a CSV first if you want to keep a copy.
Permissions

MoneBie does not request internet, location, contacts, camera, microphone or storage-wide access.
Third parties
MoneBie contains no advertising networks, analytics tools, crash reporters or social media trackers. We don't sell or share data with anyone, because we don't have any.
When you install the app from Google Play, Google may collect information under its own privacy policy. That is between you and Google and is not something MoneBie controls.
Your control
All of your data is on your phone, so you can see, change or delete any of it yourself at any time:
- Edit or delete individual records in the app.
- Export everything as a CSV file.
- Delete everything by clearing the app's storage in Android settings, or by uninstalling the app.
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete on our side.
Children's privacy
MoneBie is not directed at children under 13. Since the app collects no information at all, it doesn't collect information from children either.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of MoneBie changes how data is handled, for example by adding an optional online feature, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top before that version is released.
